Value
The first thing you want to look at is whether the car will have value once you complete the restoration work. If you are planning to restore a car, spend some time researching about its model and value before you start working on it. Restoring cars can be an expensive project, especially when you have to source parts that are no longer easily available. Remember that the cost of the car is only one component of your project.

Working with Rust
In restoring cars, you will have to be ready to work with rust, something not everyone is comfortable with. In most cases, you will have to strip the chassis down and sandblast every inch of metal, and cut and replace sections that cannot be repaired. If you cannot buy replacement panels, you will need to fabricate them yourself. Rust repair is not an easy task, so make sure you know what you are getting into before you start restoring a car.
